Steel Description

D6 is a high carbon, chromium and tungsten, air hardening alloy tool steel with excellent resistance to wear and abrasion. Its high carbon and chromium content means it has better hardening characteristics and dimensional stability than D3. Typical applications include: brick and ceramic die liner moulds and forming rolls.
