230M07 / EN1A PRECISION GROUND is a popular free machining low carbon steel that is supplied in the Bright Ground condition where close diameter tolerances and an excellent surface finish is required. It is a highly machineable sulphurised material with consistent properties, resulting in very easy chipping, good tool life and improved surface finish. 230M07 / EN1A PRECISION GROUND is used for the manufacture of shafts on which bearings will revolve, conveyor systems, repetition turned parts, hydraulic fittings and especially for intricate drilling and machining operations.
